Service life and efficacy:
Under laboratory conditions (more stringent than EPA's requirements for turbidity and organic matter), the life straw achieves a net water volume of 1600 liters (1.6 times the design life).
Average flow rate:
280 ml / min at the beginning of use
280 ml / min, between 10 and 200 L
250 ml / min, between 200 and 500 L
170 ml / min, between 500 and 1000 l
200 ml / min, average flow rate between 0 and 1000 l
Antibacterial effect:
Under laboratory conditions (EPA 1987 test standard for microbial water purifier), the results showed that the life straw met the requirements of lrv6 (99.9999%) for bacteria removal and lrv3 (99.9%) for removal of parasitic protozoa.
Turbidity:
Under the laboratory conditions, the turbidity decreased by 99.6%.
Inflow turbidity: 104 NTU
Effluent turbidity: 0.4 NTU
